Since her retirement in 2007, Suzanne Perez-Chaumont has continued to stay involved and politcally active in education by supporting and networking with educators to improve schools. As a devoted ally to children, she brings knowledge and connections to the larger education community to the board, and has been an advocate for the information and insights of The Clarity Process℠ since the beginning. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, she lends her expertise in developing educational programs for parents, schools, and their staff.
Suzanne taught special education in California and Texas. She was voted Elementary Teacher of the Year for Spring Branch I.S.D. in 1983. After serving as a teacher for 15 years, she became an elementary school counselor for an additional 15 years. She also became a trainer for Spring Branch ISD where she led seminars on Increasing Human Effectiveness and Tribes (a community-building process).
She continues her community building and volunteer work in Houston and the surrounding areas. She hopes that through the nonprofit, many adults will learn to be excellent listeners to support children to reach their full potential, especially those in underseved communities.
